artist state-ment

I've been taught that it’s far more impactful to communicate a story through composition and emotion. Simplicity can reveal more ideas than over explaining. In Cheeseballs, I want to weave the events of my life into comprehensible, slice-of-life bites—my end desire is to be a storyteller. Art is how I tap into character analysis and heartfelt connections to my audience. I am an advocate of vulnerability, and explore themes such as mental illness, queer romance, and coming of age.
